ANNOUNCEMENT
With saddened heart, Evans Brothers Guns, LLC will be permanently closing on 12/24/2025. Normal business operations will continue as usual through Christmas Eve this year.
After the last five years of substantially declining financials, I've decided it's no longer feasible to continue. There will be no going-out-of-business sale; instead, after 12/24/25, I hope to sell the entire shop contents (excluding the physical building and range) to someone interested in starting their own gun business.
I'm closing due to several reasons: the current economy favors big stores, insurance and power costs are too high, and there are too many gun shops in the Lufkin area. Being 10 miles out of town has also hurt sales, and at my age, taking big financial risks to upgrade the business just isn't practical.
We truly appreciate all our loyal customers and the friendships made over the years. Though I'm retiring, I'll still teach License-to-Carry classes, do some private lessons, and potentially handle gun transfers.

ABOUT EVANS BROTHERS GUNS AND SHOOTING RANGE
Our History
We started from scratch in March of 2006 on 91 acres of scrub brush and trees. This transformed into what we are today, Evans Brothers Guns and Shooting Range. It was a family effort in building this gun shop/shooting range, which included my wife Jacquie, brother Kerry, and daughter Kristen. Our mom Etta, father-in-law Don and many other family members and friends also contributed to making this dream a reality.
We wanted to make a place for people to come enjoy the shooting sports and be able to make their purchases for firearms, reloading supplies and all things shooting sports related. Evans Bros Guns is the only public access range in Angelina County that doesn’t require a membership. With a 15 lane pistol range, 9 lane rifle range with distances out to 300 yards, and 3 rimfire-only shooting lanes, we have a great variety to offer to the novice on up to the expert marksman. License to Carry classes are also offered once a month year round by a certified instructor. Our goal is to provide the best customer service possible and have a friendly environment for people to come improve their shooting skills and make their firearm purchases at reasonable prices.

Just a reminder for you online Gun buyers . I Do Not do transfers on new guns (used guns OK , Gun Broker, Guns America, etc... ). I sell them here as my business I would be glad to get you what ever you are looking for all you have to do is call . When the UPS or FedEx package you have shipped to me with out prior authorization will be refused and sent back . These online guys will put my business name on their site as a receiving dealer without authorization as the dont give a crap if I or any other small Mom and Pop operation goes out of business . So before you shop online and you like our business come here first. I could do transfers out of a shed with zero overhead but I have to pay for this business somehow. Believe me in this hyperinflationary economy we need all the business we can get just to stay open. I do appreciate all of you the do business with us and hope for your continued business in the future.

Range use is light at best . Come on out and use our facility. We are open until 5:30 PM Tuesday thru Saturday. Take time to make time we cant continue operating with out your business.
Well I know thing are still tough out there . But remember if you need to do a hobby that will increase your motor skills and eye hand coordination shooting is it. Come on out and practice to build muscle memory for you hand gun shooters and for you rifle shooters if you can consistently hit a 4" plate at 300 yards there is no reason you should ever miss a deer in East Texas
